I am a 50 something Florida working mom married forever to my Darling Husband or “DH”.
Together we run an accounting and income tax business. Somehow, through no fault of my own, I ended up living in the country about 15 years ago. It was a wonderful place to raise children. I jumped into the country life with both feet. At one time or another the kids had goats, chickens, pigs, cows and horses. I even became a 4H leader.
The children have grown now. Number 1 son is 23 and works in construction. He is remodeling a house about a mile from ours. He recently moved into his house with his girlfriend “GF”, two dogs, a mini pig, a rooster, and two horses. Our oldest daughter “Dr. Doolittle”, is an animal science major at University of Florida. She plans to become a large animal vet. She lives on 15 acres outside of Gainesville with her 3 dogs.
Our youngest “Fashionista” will be leaving home in about 6 weeks to attend University of Central Florida as a business major. She is my city girl. She just signed the lease on her first apartment in Orlando.
I hope you enjoy reading about this new phase in my life as an empty nester. I would love to hear from you.
